Open Question: My mom could have gotten diabeties? (Read at the botom for her diet to see if she's at a more risk)?

My mom is 57, she had surgery to get her uterus removed, and got a urinary tract infection after. She took antibiotics to get rid of the infection. She got a blood test while she was on it and her blood sugar levels were up. READ THE BOTTOM ON WHAT SHE EATS, THAT IS IMPORTANT! Later on, she went back took another blood test, and her blood sugar levels were back to normal. (That's what she told me, I believe her). Diabeties runs in my family, two of my aunts have it, and i'm wondering if my mom was still on antibiotics, would she have gotten diabeties? READ THE BOTTOM NOW PLEASE, READ I asked my mom what she eats, she told me she eats, prunes, apples, walnuts, oranges, brown rice, whole grains. She takes Omega three, vitamin C, and Calcium supplements. Bad stuff she eats...Ice cream, and chocolate. WITH my mom's eating habits, do you think she will get diabeties?

Open Question: Prenatal vitamin options?

Is there any other types of prenatal vitamins? The ones I'm currently taking are high in iron but contain alot of fish oils and things like that. Just the thought of taking something like that gets me sick to my stomach. Is there any other options out there? Please give brand/names if there is. Thanks!

Open Question: My vet (in Vietnam) said that antibiotic and vitamin shots will NULLIFY the distemper shot. Is this true?

My puppy had a distemper shot on Friday and was just bitten badly by her sister. The vet gave her, I guess, an antibiotic shot and vitamins today (Monday). So is it true that the distemper shot will not work? Please tell me if you are a vet or have had this experience before.
